GPD Labs is an applied AI lab I created inside Good Pair Days, the "Spotify for Wine" company I previously co-founded, with over 100,000 paying customers across the UK and Australia.

The lab builds internal tools, improves the customer experience, and tests new product ideas using AI.

We've been using machine learning for our customer recommendations since 2018, with millions of data points from customers across Australia and the UK.

Knowing the company well helps me choose where AI could be useful. We use agents and both cloud and on-device models, depending on the job.

In addition to internal applications, we're also building AI infrastructure that we might potentially sell to the broader retail, ecommerce, and wholesale industry.
