Newsletter.com.au was the email marketing product inside the CrazyDomains group — for building, sending and tracking HTML email campaigns to subscriber lists.

The main features were:

• Mailing-list management
• Email editor with drag-and-drop editor
• Scheduled delivery
• Graph reporting
• Subscribe forms generator

I was the lead developer and handled all the PHP work, including the integration with a multithreaded Java app that fired off the SMTP emails. The trickiest part was the email editor, where users could pick a template and edit its content on the fly. A fair chunk of the rest was code and query optimisation.
